Features and specifications of the Amazfit Ares
The first thing we must say is that this watch is not from Xiaomi although It is part of its ecosystem. Huami is an independent company that manufactures, for example, the famous Xiaomi Mi Band, but this Ares is not made for Xiaomi. You can use it from the Amazfit app and also from Mi Fit.
It’s a bit of a mess at first but compatibility with Xiaomi is very high, That said, we leave you with a brief summary of its main features:
- Screen of 1.28″ (176 x 176) in color with Always-on. transreflective (it shines more the more direct light it receives) with 2.5D edges, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and anti-fingerprint coating.
- Nothing more and nothing less than support for 70 different sports. Within all the typical ones (running, swimming, cycling…) we find some such as dance, archery, yoga, skiing, etc. Very rare it has to be your sport for it not to be on this watch.
- Dimensions of 46.5 × 55.6 × 14 mm and a weight of less than 50 grams. It is waterproof up to 5 ATM (50 meters).
- PAI health analysis and FIRSTBEAT, a technology to analyze your sports performance at a professional level with data such as VO2Max, recovery times and much more.
- May you recibe notifications WhatsApp, Telegram, Mail… Everything you can think of.
- Improved heart rate sensor, 3-axis accelerometer and barometer. Added to this is its Bluetooth 4.2 LE connection and precise GPS + GLONASS.
- 200 mAh battery capable of holding 14 days of normal use and 90 days of use as a watch. Lasts up to 23 hours using GPS continuously.
Price and availability of the Amazfit Ares
At the moment it has only been officially presented in China at a price of about 65 euros to change, a nonsense considering everything it offers, it is even better than the recently released Amazfit T-Rex. Of course, from here to being able to buy at a reasonable price through the usual resellers it can take a while. On July 1, it will be available for purchase in Asia.
