Setting up a VPN on Android not only allows us to browse encrypted, but we can also skip all kinds of website restrictions by browsing from another site.

Nowadays, many companies use VPNs to keep their connections under lock and key so that the information they handle does not freely browse the Internet in the eyes of the whole world. Although we are not a company, it is important for Android users to know how to configure a VPN, since VPN gives us security and virtual location.

How do I set up a VPN on Android?

From our terminal we will enter Settings > More > VPN.

Once inside, we will press the “+” to add a new one. It will ask us to edit the VPN profile indicating the Namethe type (PPTP, IPSec Xauth PSK…) and the Server address (a DNS or public IP). We can also access the Advanced Optionsbut we won’t need it.

After configuring our VPN, we will have to enter the username and password that we want to connect. It is important to give it to save so that it does not ask for them again on more occasions.

When we connect, from the menu of our terminal we will get the connection accompanied by a key iconwhich tells us that we are browsing safely through VPN.

With the VPN we will be able to browse our Android with total security, since the traffic from insecure networks is diverted to secure networks.
